This image was taken on a trip to Arizona in the winter of 2009. The Grand Canyon of course is magnificent. I wanted a beautiful sunrise image. We got up early in the dark for five days with grey skies and no colour. On the fifth day we were rewarded with a spectacular sunrise. It was worth freezing our buns off.
