This image was taken on a trip to Utah in Jan. 2005. This lookout is just an hour out of Moab. I got up early before daybreak and waited for the sunrise. The early sunlight on the red rocks was awesome. The river is the Colorado. The name is derived from the story that the natives used to herd and coral wild horses against the rim where they had no where to go. Occasionally one would go over the edge.
